Andrew is part of a panel of investors put together to address: “Ocean Innovation Initiatives: What investors want you to know.” The WOC has been developing and coordinating the “Global Blue Economy Innovation Initiatives Network” for several years to connect the growing number of ocean-sustainability related accelerators, incubators, challenge competitions and startup hubs. It connects 100+ innovation initiatives via the Network.
Andrew will be participating and conveying his perspectives on what accelerators, incubators, challenge competitions and startup hubs need to know from the investment community in order to be most effective in advancing investment in innovation for a sustainable Blue Economy.
The purpose of the “Global Blue Economy Innovation Initiatives Network” is to:
- Foster communication, coordination, and the exchange of best practices among the initiatives/organisations
- Catalyse synergies among ocean sustainability-related innovation initiatives/organisations
- Increase investment community awareness of the initiatives/organisations and their outputs, participants, etc.
- Increase support for these initiatives/organisations and the startups, SMEs, etc. that they are working with
