January 2026 Showcase & Pilot Camp Recap | London
In January 2026, Greenbackers hosted its Investment Showcase & Pilot Camp at Sustainable Ventures in London, bringing together over 250 delegates, 170 funds, and 200+ curated 1:1 meetings with Energy, Industrial, and Deep-tech ventures. Startups presented groundbreaking technologies, explored pilot opportunities, and engaged with investors and corporate innovation leaders.
This edition featured our first Pilot Camp of the year, where participating ventures pitched their technologies for pilot deployment opportunities. The session was evaluated by six distinguished corporate judges from BP, Siemens Energy, Fortescue, Aramco, and Repsol, providing valuable insights and feedback to the presenting startups.
The morning also included a panel discussion moderated by Juliana Garaizar, with Gema García González, Keiren Lake, and Simon Brown exploring the critical interdependencies between pilot projects and investment, and examining how these combined efforts can help address the scale-up challenges faced by emerging technologies in today’s market.
In the afternoon, 204 individual eight-minute speed-dating sessions took place between ventures and investors, creating a highly focused environment for deal-making and collaboration. The day concluded with networking, offering participants an opportunity to connect while enjoying views of the Thames and the iconic Big Ben.
