Summary: This is stage 1 of a 2-stage competition – Expression of Interest. Funding is awarded in stage 2. The funding will support projects to deliver innovative outcomes in ocean technology.

Water Breakthrough Challenge 4: Transform Stream
Funding available: £2m – £10m
Deadline: 19th Oct 2023
Summary: The Transform Stream aims to spark ambitious innovation and enable new approaches and ways of working, equipping the water sector to address the big challenges facing the sector, driving far-reaching and long-lasting benefits across England and Wales. 

Canada-UK: Plant-based Protein Innovation
Funding available: Up to £1.5m
Deadline: 1st Nov 2023
Summary: This is stage 1 of a 2-stage competition. The aim of this Expression of Interest (EoI) competition is to find the best proposals that support the development of the plant-based protein sector to be put forward to the full application stage of the competition.

Water Breakthrough Challenge 4: Catalyst Stream
Funding available: £150k – £2m
Deadline: 3rd Jan 2024
Summary: The Catalyst Stream aims to encourage new ways of working that go beyond business-as-usual innovation practices in the water sector, in particular, increasing and improving collaboration and building partnerships from within and outside the water sector.

Summary: This competition seeks applications focussing on: clinical community engagement, novel business models to enable circularity in perioperative care and critical care settings, and net zero clinical transformation. 

Future Economy Investor Partnerships SME
Funding available: £50k-£2m
Deadline: 25th Oct 2023
Summary: £80m grant funding has been invested in this fund over the next three  years, combining grant funding and private investment from 50+ selected investor partners. Key sector themes: Net Zero, Health and Wellbeing, Next Generation Digital Technologies, Knows No Limit (equality, diversity and inclusion). 

Innovate UK innovation loans future economy: round 11
Funding available: £100k – £2m
Deadline: 8th Nov 2023
Summary: Innovate UK is offering up to £25 million in loans to SMEs to help businesses overcome barriers to their innovations becoming a successful, commercial reality. Specific themes: Net-Zero, Health and Wellbeing, and Next Generation Digital Technologies.
