Andrew will address the first post-pandemic in person SPE Offshore Europe conference, focussing on the oil and gas industry’s transition to reach net zero.

SPE Offshore Europe is one of the oil and gas industry’s most important European conferences, held biannually in Aberdeen. This year’s focus ‘Accelerating the transition to a better energy future’ will showcase the work ongoing to decarbonise energy production in the North Sea.
The oil and gas industry employs around 70,000 people in Scotland and contributes significantly to the Scottish economy. As we transition away from fossil fuels, the knowledge and financial strength of oil and gas operators should and can be a great strength in supporting a growing offshore renewable sector.
Greenbackers appointment by TechnipFMC to aid them in their search for those clean technologies that will enable them to cement existing customer relationships and establish new ones, is a strong indicator of both the need for the offshore sector to find a way of engaging with early stage technologies and the value in outsourcing that responsibility to an experienced team.
The Conference will be an opportunity for Andrew to speak about the growing need to test, fund and implement the most innovative clean technology solutions across offshore supply chains, as well as the potential of marine energy in producing clean, reliable energy offshore.
