Green aviation pioneer and Founder of the Solar Impulse Foundation, Bertrand Piccard, delivered the keynote address on Thursday, 20 May, at the launch of Greenbackers 26ForCOP26 Super Pitch Launch.
Speaking about Solar Impulse’s heritage and mission, their program to solve the world’s climate challenges by identifying more than 1000 profitable solutions that can protect the environment and the “fantastic commercial opportunities” that climate technology represented, he went on to comment about Greenbackers 26ForCOP26 program. “We share a conviction with Greenbackers around the climate challenges, “Having 26 innovators receiving the investment they need for the COP26 in Glasgow is a fantastic initiative – we fully support it at the Solar Impulse Foundation and we can even provide some candidates for investments”, he said.“A lot of collaboration, a lot of passion – I just love it.”
